Steering Dampers type RSC -68mm racing
Reference HYDS068-NP1
Hyperpro type RSC -68mm stroke is superior to other steering dampers. During tank shocks and oscillations, while the CSC steering damper will control very fast movements, the RSC will react directly with lots of extra progressive damping to even out and cancel out the fast movement as soon as it happens to you.
Sold without fixing kit.
A steering damper, or steering stabiliser, is a motorbike damping device designed to prevent unwanted and uncontrolled movement or oscillation of a vehicle's steering mechanism, a phenomenon known in motorcycling as wobble. If the front wheel is not completely aligned with the direction of travel when it hits the ground after a short wheelie, it can cause unwanted oscillation. The aim is to counteract this undesirable behaviour. Steering dampers offer comfort and safety. ...and Hyperpro offers the very best!
Sold without fixing kit.
How a Hyperpro RSC steering cylinder works
The Hyperpro steering damper programme is divided into two levels: the CSC (Constant Safety Control) steering damper and the RSC (Reactive Safety Control) steering damper. Both types of steering damper are manufactured with the utmost precision to guarantee the quality and operation of the steering damper.
During tank shocks and oscillations, while the CSC steering damper will control very fast movements, the RSC will react directly with lots of extra progressive damping to even out and cancel out the fast movement as soon as it happens to you.
RSC steering cylinders are adjustable to 22 positions of hardness. These cylinders are designed with a separate reservoir, allowing the internal pressure to be released so as not to impede the progress of the piston.
The reservoir contains pressurised nitrogen to prevent the formation of air bubbles and avoid the risk of guiding. The internal design of these cylinders ensures low friction: the piston rod is only 8mm long and has been specially treated. These Hyperpro cylinders are designed with a dust cover and a double seal to prevent dust and oil leaks.
Features of Hyperpro steering cylinders
All parts are developed, designed, manufactured and assembled in the Hyperpro factory, guaranteeing product quality. Both CSC (Constant Safety Control) and RSC (Reactive Safety Control) dampers have the following features:
- Damping can be adjusted to 22 positions.
- Availability of spare parts.
- High-quality bearings
- Low-friction design thanks to an 8 mm diameter piston rod with special surface treatment.
- One-piece piston rod - Perfect alignment thanks to plain bearings and no excessive force on the piston.
Hyperpro develops mounting kits for fitting a steering damper to a motorbike. Plug and play, in 98% of cases it is possible to fit the kit without drilling or cutting into the motorbike.
