The infrared motorbike thermometer is the ideal tool for measuring the temperature of your engine, tyres or brakes quickly and accurately. Easy to use, all you have to do is install the 2 AAA batteries (included) and press the trigger to get an instant reading displayed on the LCD screen (you need to press the button for at least 0.5 seconds).
Thanks to its continuous measurement mode, it can effectively analyse temperature variations (accuracy ~ 1.5° and 1.5% // resolution 0.1C° or 0.1F°).
The motorbike thermometer offers a number of practical functions:
- Toggle between °C and °F,
- Activate or deactivate the backlight
- Use a laser pointer to precisely target the area to be analysed
- After 15 seconds of inactivity, it switches off automatically to save battery power
When in use, the greater the distance between the device and the object, the wider the measurement zone. For example, at a distance of 36 cm, the average temperature of an area 3 cm in diameter can be accurately measured. To ensure reliable results on shiny metal surfaces such as aluminium, it is advisable to apply adhesive tape or matt black paint before taking the measurement.
Designed for optimum use, it should be protected from strong electromagnetic fields and sudden changes in temperature (store at room temperature). Regular cleaning with a soft cloth and compressed air will maintain its effectiveness. Caution: do not use solvents to clean the lens and do not immerse the device in water.
