La manivelle étant trop grande, ne permet pas de poser cette paire d'étaux à même le sol d'une remorque ou d'un atelier. Pour l'utiliser, il faut donc bricoler une calle d'une épaisseur d'un bastaing et de fixer le tout dessus, exemption faite de la partie manivelle. Cela engendre de facto que la roue avant de la moto sera relevée d'autant .
