ZCOO Competition/Endurance brake pads ZRM-B002EX-C are competition brake pads designed for use on closed circuits. Don't be surprised when you brake for the first time - this product has bite!
Sold in sets of 2 pads for 1 caliper.
Features of Zcoo motorbike brake pads
ZCOO brake pads are produced in Japan using know-how that offers unrivalled performance quality.
These sintered pads are ceramic-based, providing consistency and endurance combined with perfect braking control.
To meet all your expectations in terms of braking performance, ZCOO brake pads are available in 2 distinct ranges: EX (competition/leisure) and C (competition/endurance).
It's important to do 5 to 6 laps of the track to preheat your pads for optimum use. The 2 types need to be run in properly and are very consistent, with no variation in leverage.
The EX range - Competition/leisure use
The EX range is now used in the biggest world and national speed championships, thanks in particular to its consistent hot braking performance.
The main advantage of the EX range is its feel, with super braking power without too much aggression. It also has the advantage of not damaging the brake disc, for optimum use throughout the race.
It's highly recommended for 600cc bikes, as it helps maintain cornering speed. However, if you're heavy-handed, these pads will wear out quickly.
The C range - Competition/endurance use
Based on the same principles as the speed range, the C range doesn't lack bite when braking, but it guarantees better longevity and power. They lose very little effectiveness over time.
Already seen in several endurance Teams in all the major championships.
When should I change my motorbike brake pads?
At Moto Vision, you'll find a wide selection of front and rear brake pads, compatible with the vast majority of models on the market. We offer technical references from leading brands such as AP Racing, SBS and ZCOO, selected for their reliability and performance, whether for intensive road use or demanding sporting activities.
However, it is essential to check their condition regularly and change them if necessary:
- Pad thickness : Check regularly (every 1000 to 2000 km or so), if the pad (the part that rubs against the disc) is less than 2 mm, they should be replaced, some pads have a visible wear mark: if this mark is reached, it's time to change.
- Abnormal noises: squeaking, hissing or metallic noises when braking may indicate that the pads are worn or at the end of their life.
- Loss of braking efficiency: if you feel that your bike is braking less well, or that the handle/pedal is softer or needs to be depressed further, check the pads.
- Visual inspection: a simple look inside the caliper (or by removing the wheel) may be enough to see the condition of the pads.
- Frequency of use: in standard road use, a set can last between 10,000 and 20,000 km / in sports or track use, they can wear out much more quickly (sometimes in just a few days' driving).
