What is a HEALTECH secondary throttle valve eliminator for?
Due to emission and noise regulations, secondary throttle valves have appeared on motorcycles over the last decade. This secondary throttle valve is controlled by the bike’s ECU. For maximum performance and precise throttle response, this secondary system is removed, mainly on race bikes. If the actuator motor fails (a frequent issue on some motorcycle models), it is also much cheaper to replace it with the STVE than to buy a new motor.
The unit is fully sealed and encapsulated in epoxy, providing extreme protection of the internal components against shocks, vibrations and water.
The STV eliminator plugs directly into the bike’s wiring loom. The Plug ’n Go connector makes installation fast and easy, eliminating the need to modify the original wiring. With this small unit, you can remove the entire secondary valve assembly.
Note: after installation, it is recommended to have the engine’s air/fuel ratio (AFR) checked on a dyno and adjusted if necessary.
