Also called “shark fins” because of their shape, they protect the rider from serious injuries caused by a foot or hand being caught in the mechanism in the event of a fall. This safety component is in fact mandatory in competition.

These motorcycle protections are suitable for both road use and racing, where mechanical stresses are higher. Easy to install, they are often mounted directly under the swingarm in front of the wheel axle. Depending on the model, it may sometimes be necessary to add a bracket so that the guard does not touch the chain.
