Electronic eliminator

Select your motorbike

The electronic eliminators, also known as “elimination resistors” or “system eliminators”, are electronic devices designed to solve problems related to the removal of certain OEM components on your motorcycle, such as the exhaust valve, the AIS (Air Injection System), or the original turn signals. The electronic eliminators from SmartMoto, Healtech, I2M and Jetprime stand out for their quality and efficiency, each offering specific features tailored to different needs. Depending on your budget and expectations, these brands provide options suited to all types of motorcycles and setups.

Why use an electronic eliminator?

Electronic eliminators are small modules designed to communicate with your bike’s electronics when you remove certain OEM components: exhaust valve, AIS (Air Injection System), flaps, original turn signals, etc.

On modern motorcycles, the ECU constantly monitors these components via sensors and control resistors. As soon as one of these parts is removed or replaced by a racing or aftermarket component, the ECU may detect an “anomaly” and turn on the engine warning light, limit performance or activate a limp mode. The eliminator then simulates the presence of the original system by reproducing the expected electrical signal, so everything works correctly with no error messages on the dashboard.

In practice, an electronic eliminator becomes essential as soon as you simplify or “de-restrict” part of the bike. After removing the exhaust valve, it prevents fault codes from appearing and ensures the engine mapping continues to operate correctly.

When removing the AIS, it helps reduce popping on deceleration, makes it easier to fit a racing exhaust or headers and provides more stable AFR readings on the dyno. When replacing the original indicators with low-consumption LED models, an elimination module or load resistor corrects the flash rate, prevents excessively fast blinking (“hyperflash”) and removes error messages related to the ECU detecting “burnt-out” bulbs.

In all these cases, the eliminator acts as the link between your new configuration and the ECU, so the bike remains pleasant to ride and fully usable both on the road and on track.
