This foam allows you to reduce the incidence of the gasoline movement during your braking, acceleration, jumping, cornering ... Indeed, the gasoline in the tank undergoes a ballottement which disturbs the behavior of the motorcycle and directly affects your driving, by making your gasoline up to 3 times heavier than its initial weight.
In case of a crash, if the tank is hit and punctured, the foam will limit the "geyser" effect and limit the risk of fire. FFM regulations also require that tanks be filled with fire retardant, such as these Explosafe type foams.
