This PAIR/AIS SmartMoto Aprilia - Suzuki - Yamaha eliminator system is designed for plug and play installation for stock exhaust systems. It may cause exhaust noise and backfire when installing aftermarket exhaust systems.

Main features of PAIR/AIS system eliminators

The PAIR / AIS (secondary air injection) system on a motorbike carries fresh air from the airbox to the exhaust system. Its purpose is to mix the air with the exhaust gases to ‘dilute’ them, thereby guaranteeing the air/fuel ratio at the exhaust outlet needed to pass anti-pollution standards. The system also helps unburnt fuel to burn in the exhaust, reducing emissions and bringing the catalytic converter up to operating temperature more quickly.

Removing it has the following effects:

    Eliminates exhaust noise on deceleration and backfire typically associated with motorbike exhausts
    Provides a true A/F ratio for fuel tuning. A/F ratio measurements are reliable
    Frees up engine space
    Can improve throttle response when used with complete non-original exhaust systems
