Thanks to the Healtech OS Eliminator module, no FI warning light will come on when the O2 sensor is disconnected from your motorcycle’s main wiring harness.

What is an O2 sensor used for?

O2 sensors (lambda probes) continuously measure the residual oxygen content in the exhaust gases to inform the ECU of the actual mixture strength. In closed-loop operation, the ECU uses this signal to instantly correct fueling and keep the AFR within homologation targets, optimizing both emissions and fuel consumption in the relevant operating ranges.

The downside of this strategy is that it often favors a leaner mixture, especially at low and mid RPM. The result: less crisp throttle response, a jerky feel and a less linear power delivery. And when you need to unplug a faulty O2 sensor or free up engine management for a dyno tune, the system becomes restrictive: disconnecting the sensor immediately triggers the FI light via circuit fault detection.
