Jetprime JP ES 047 Canister Eliminator is a device that enables the complete removal of the EVAP system without generating errors in the ECU.
It includes the electronic purge valve eliminator as well as all the components needed to remove the canister filter, the valve and the associated hoses.
This Jetprime motorcycle accessory is intended for sporting use on closed circuits.
What is the EVAP system for?
EVAP stands for Evaporative Emission Control System. On a motorcycle, it is an anti-pollution device designed to limit the release of fuel vapors into the atmosphere.
Unlike other emission-control systems that act on exhaust gases, EVAP works only on fuel vapors produced in the fuel tank. Instead of letting hydrocarbons escape into the open air as the fuel heats up, the EVAP system routes them to an activated charcoal canister. This charcoal absorbs and temporarily stores these vapors.
From a technical standpoint, the EVAP system mainly consists of the canister, vent hoses, an ECU-controlled purge valve and sometimes a check valve. The ECU controls purge opening depending on engine speed, engine load and temperature.
Its role is strictly environmental and regulatory, notably to meet anti-pollution standards such as Euro 4 and Euro 5.
