STANDARDS: FMVSS 116 DOT 5.1 NON SILICONE BASE, DOT 4 and DOT 3 // SAE J 1703 // ISO 4925 (5.1, 4 and 3)

Long life fluid :
The very high wet boiling point (185°C / 365°F), higher than DOT 4 (155°C min / 311°F min) and DOT 3 (140°C min / 284°F min) fluids, means that the product can be used for longer. DOT 3 / DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 brake fluids have the property of absorbing moisture from the air, which reduces their boiling point and therefore the safety of braking.
The wet boiling point is representative of the fluid's condition after 1 year's use.

Specially designed for anti-lock braking systems (ABS):
The lower viscosity (820 centipoise at -40°C) than conventional DOT 4 (up to 1800 cp) and DOT 3 (up to 1500 cp) fluids allows the fluid to flow more easily through the micro-valves of anti-lock systems.
Perfectly neutral with seals used in braking systems. Anti-corrosion.

Motul DOT 5.1 recommendation

Miscible with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 NON SILICONE BASE products.
Do not mix with mineral-based liquids (LHM) and silicone (DOT 5 silicone base). Keep the product in its packaging, tightly closed and away from moisture. Chemical product aggressive to hands, paints and varnishes. In the event of skin contact, rinse thoroughly.

Oil changes: 12 to 24 months according to manufacturers' recommendations.
