What is a motorcycle kill switch used for?

A motorcycle kill switch replaces the original ignition switch with a simplified start/stop system, specifically designed for racing or track use.

This Jetprime product removes the key and lock, which reduces the bike’s weight, cuts unnecessary components for competition, and eliminates any risk of key breakage or loss. Thanks to its heavy-duty push button, the Kill Switch ensures quick, reliable and safe power-on and engine shut-off, even in extreme conditions.

On motorcycles equipped with an immobilizer, the presence of a Key Box allows you to retain the immobilizer function by integrating the original key into a dedicated housing, without modifying the wiring harness or the original electronic system.

Advantages of a Jetprime Kill Switch

The Jetprime motorcycle Kill Switch allows you to remove the ignition barrel (Neiman), so you can switch on the ignition without the key. It installs very quickly thanks to its model-specific plug-and-play connector. Simply place your ignition barrel and key in the Key Box and you’re good to go.

For motorcycles equipped with an immobilizer, the kit includes the Key Box (only if required), a housing that holds the original key and connects directly to the immobilizer antenna. 

This Jetprime kill switch, made from solid-machined Ergal, features an IP69K-certified push button, ensuring maximum strength and reliability even under extreme conditions. It provides a weight saving of 300 to 500 g.
