Rear hub for MV Agusta
Reference JP MR 001
The Jetprime wheel hub is designed to provide superior rigidity and strength compared to the original component on your MV Agusta. It replaces the following OEM part numbers:
- 8000B7317
- 8000C4104
594,00 € incl. VAT
The Jetprime wheel hub delivers concrete benefits: it withstands stress better, protects the bearings, and lasts longer. On the MV Agusta models listed as compatible, it replaces the following OEM parts:
- 8000B7317
- 8000C4104
Features of the Jetprime MV Agusta wheel hub
The Jetprime wheel hub allows the bolts to be tightened securely on the swingarm without risking damage to your motorcycle’s bearings. On some setups, if the contact surfaces are not perfectly designed or if the OEM part is more flexible, over-tightening (or tightening that “pulls” on the wrong surfaces) can create abnormal preload on the bearings. This increases heat, causes premature wear, and can lead to play. The Jetprime wheel hub is designed so that tightening occurs on the correct areas (spacers/seats) and the load does not pass “through” the bearings.
It is machined from solid Avional, an extremely light aluminium alloy used in the aerospace industry, composed of aluminium and copper, magnesium and silicon. This aerospace-grade aluminium is chosen for its excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The practical benefit: a strong, precise, durable part without necessarily adding weight to the wheel.
The Jetprime wheel hub is lubricated with a “special high-temperature-resistant” grease: on a wheel, heat can come from the brakes, from the proximity of certain components, and from internal friction if a bearing is not operating correctly. A suitable grease slows degradation (drying out, loss of lubrication), which increases service life and reduces the risk of seizure or play over time.
Bearing setup of the Jetprime MV Agusta wheel hub
On the sprocket side (drivetrain side), Jetprime specifies a roller bearing. A roller bearing generally handles high loads and certain combined forces better than what is typically encountered on the drivetrain side (torque, chain pull, shocks). This helps withstand repeated stress during acceleration, especially if the bike has more torque or is used intensively.
On the wheel side, they specify two “high-performance” ball bearings. Two bearings help distribute loads more effectively and improve rotational stability. Ball bearings are very efficient for smooth rotation and typical radial loads, and when high quality, they hold up well at speed and temperature.
