How to install a brake reservoir?

Our brake reservoirs are designed to fit a wide variety of motorcycles, whether road, track, or off-road models. Easy to install, they integrate perfectly into your braking system without requiring complex modifications.

First, make sure you have the right equipment: a compatible brake reservoir (front or rear depending on the bike), a mounting bracket, an appropriate brake hose, clamps, and brake fluid that meets manufacturer specifications (usually DOT 4 or DOT 5.1). It’s also recommended to wear gloves and protect painted surfaces, as brake fluid is corrosive.

The kits generally include the necessary brackets, clamps, and hoses for quick and safe installation.

Start by removing the old reservoir and cleaning the master cylinder area. Then, attach the new bracket to the handlebar or frame, making sure the reservoir remains upright once the bike is on its wheels.

Connect the hose between the reservoir and master cylinder without twisting or stretching it, then tighten the clamps. Fill the reservoir with the appropriate brake fluid (DOT 4 or 5.1) and bleed the system to remove air.
